TV This Week | Hindi GEC's show no growth this week

This week’s TAM ratings were unlike the ratings received in previous weeks. TAM ratings for week 31 showed no growth for Hindi GEC’s while went well for Hindi movie channels.

While Star Plus stood stable at the top slot, the Hindi GEC did not show growth this week as well. The following positions continued to remain the same, with Colors consistent at No.3 spot this week as well.

As per viewership data sourced from TAM subscribers for Week 31, 2014 (27th July - 2nd August) for CS 4+, HSM MARKETS, detailed below is the data of the top 6 GEC’s performance in week 31 along with previous week’s figures enlisted in the brackets:

Seated at no. 1 position, Star Plus witnessed decline in viewership having recorded 676578 million GVTs (gross TV viewership in million) as against 709317million GVTs recorded last week.

Zee TV still stands at No.2 position, however with no growth viewership of 438207 million GVTs as against 438914.

After clinging onto the third spot last week, Colors has also face drop in viewership of 375025 million GVTs as compared to 397824 last week.

Life OK is at No.4 position with 311423 million GVT’s against 360675 last week.

On the fifth place of SET with viewership of 275107 million GVTs as against 288358 in the last week.

SAB TV is at No. 6 with 265377 million GVTs against 275380 million GVTs last week.

Following is the market-wise program performance of Hindi Movie channels in Week 31 2014:

Star GOLD maintained its No.1 position and registered 242494 GVT’s against recorded 225064 last week. Sony Max is at No. 2 position, showing growth of 240632 GVTs against 211827 last week; Z Cinema is at No. 3 with growth of 200669 GVT’s as against 197925 GVTs last week.

Movies OK is at No. 4 position with 155428 GVT’s compared to 146363 GVT’s last week, followed by &pictures with 125356 GVT’s  compared to 95585 GVTs last week; UTV Movies recorded decline of 82579 GVT’s as compare to 82712 GVTs last week. Sony Max2 too showed decline of 33334 GVT’s this week as compare to 37233 GVTs last week.
