TV this week: Sony, Colors and Star Plus gains channel share

TAM viewership data for 28th week is out and Star Plus has maintained its no. 1 position with 309 GRPs in the second successive week and even Imagine TV has also retained its status this week. This has been the third week for imagine TV to have top ratings because of the reality show Ratan Ka Rishta.

The finale event of the swayamvar season 3 has acquired 5.1 TVR. At the same time Zee TV has gone marginally down with 193 GRPs in the 28th week of TAM 2011 but Zee TV's show, Pavitra Rishta has been at top position as per TAM"s top 10 programs with 5.28 TVRs. All other shows like Balika Vadhu (4.96), Uttaran (4.71), Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata hai (4.93) and Saathiya (4.16) are at their positions with minimal change in TVRs.

Star plus being the top positioned entertainment channel in India has retained its position with 309 GRPs and has been consistently at the top as per Tam ratings.

Even Colors has sustained its status being at the second position from the last week. The channel has received 252 GRPs in the 28th week of TAM 2011 where as last week they gained 253 GRPs.
