Watch the Indian TV Premiere of the sci-fi thriller ‘The 5th Wave’ on Sony PIX

Sony PIX will air the Indian television premiere ofthe film on January 18, 2017 at 8.30 pm. Highlighting the beautiful bond between a brother and a sister, the film tells the story of brave-heart sis Cassie, whotries to protect her younger brother Sam from the ‘The 5th Wave’.

Based on a novel of the same name ‘The 5th Wave’ by Rick Yancey and directed by J Blakeson, the movie boasts off an amazing ensemble of actors like Ron Livingston, Nick Robinson, Maggie Siff and Alex Roe coupled with outstanding visual effects. The film turned out to be an astounding box-office success grossing more than $110 million worldwide on a $35 million budget.

The premise of the film follows four waves of deadly attacks by aliens that leave the earth in shambles posing a threat for destruction and fear amongst mankind. While the first wave, an electromagnetic pulse destroys all electrical power, the second manipulates the Earth’s fault lines causing tectonic disasters.
