Will resign if voted out by poll: Elon Musk

Twitter’s new CEO Elon Musk has informed that he will resign from his position in case of the results of a Twitter poll go against him. On Sunday evening, a poll was tweeted by Elon Musk, who asked people to vote on whether he would be stepping down as the CEO of Twitter. Musk said that he would obey the results of the poll. On Sunday evening, “Yes” won by a margin of 58% to 42%.
In a number of follow-up tweets, it was suggested by Musk that leaving the organisation was a serious consideration by him, and also made an indistinct threat about the future of Twitter in case of him being voted out. Musk tweeted: “As the saying goes, be careful about what you wish for as you might get it.”
Since the time of taking over Twitter for $44 billion as the CEO, Musk created news through his several controversial decisions, starting from the sacking of numerous top executives and reducing Twitter’s staff by about half to starting a revised verification system costing $8 for a blue check mark.
Brands have also started pulling their advertising off Twitter with Musk often stating that the finances of Twitter are in a critical condition. He tweeted: “The question is not finding a CEO, but finding a CEO who can keep Twitter alive.”
