#Airteldown started trending on Twitter as Airtel users faced a mega outage on Friday.
According to media reports, the Airtel outage emerged due to a technical glitch. The problem was fixed shortly after it was reported online. Soon after the outage surfaced, several users and netizens across the nation complained about the Airtel downtime on social media. The issue impacted both broadband and cellular users on the telecom network, as per the user reports on social media. It was also not limited to a specific circle as the reports suggested its impact on a pan-India basis.
Soon the Twitter handle became the customer-service site for airtel and other users.An Airtel spokesperson has confirmed the glitch and apologised for the same.
