American Express launches rewarding Platinum Travel Credit Card!

Tapping into urban Indian’s affinity for travelling, American Express today launched the American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card which offers cardmembers a complimentary return domestic flights and a luxury hotel stay each year of membership. American Express has tied up with IndiGo Airlines and the Taj Group as anchor partners to offer cardmembers travel and lodging rewards and benefits. Cardmembers can also redeem their Membership Rewards points, earned from regular spending, for miles in more than 65 leading international and domestic airlines.
 
The American Express Platinum Travel Credit Card offers one of the ‘fastest ways to earn complimentary travel’ by combining everyday spending and accelerated spend based rewards. Cardmembers will get a welcome gift of 5000 bonus Membership Rewards points (worth IndiGo voucher of Rs 4,000) that will be credited to their account on the first charge and another 7500 bonus Membership Rewards points (worth IndiGo voucher of Rs 6,000) on reaching the spend threshold of Rs 1,90,000 within a renewal cycle. Once cardmembers reach the spend threshold of Rs 4,00,000 in the same renewal cycle, they will get another 10,000 bonus Membership Rewards points (worth IndiGo voucher of Rs 10,000) plus Rs 10,000 worth Taj Group vouchers.
