Mathrubhumi’s hattrick at WAN-IFRA S Asian Digital Media Awards 2017

Mathrubhumi Group was recently conferred with three metals at South Asian Digital Media Awards 2017 jointly presented by WAN-IFRA, the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers, and Google. 

Mathrubhumi walked away with 3 Bronze metals under various categories, which included Best Innovation to Engage Youth Audiences - Silver Bullet, Best Digital Advertising Campaign including branded content - Mathrubhumi online Milma campaign & Club FM 94.3 for its April fool’s Day campaign under Best in Social Media Engagement.

The awards presented by WAN-IFRA and Google, recognise publishers who have adopted digital media and mobile strategies as part of their total product offering to meet the major changes in how people consume news today. WAN- IFRA digital media awards are presented in every region across the world and the winners from each region subsequently compete for the world digital media awards. 

WAN-IFRA, which organises the awards programme jointly presented with Google, is the global organisation of the world’s press which derives its authority from its global network of 3,000 news publishing companies and technology entrepreneurs, and its legitimacy from its 80 member publisher associations representing 18,000 publications in 120 countries.
