Pix Movie Club goes free for the June Installment

As a part of its offline engagement strategy, Pix had launched the PIX Movie Club which got around 8,000 to 10,000 registered members in just four months. And the membership number being significant as the membership is open to only college students.

Pix Movie Club allows college students to be a member of the club by simply going on the channel's website and signing in. Post the sign up process, the person will get a coupon; it will allow the member to watch any of the latest English movie release at just Rs.30. The offer is valid in any PVR theaters across the cities Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore and is valid on the first show of the day.

But now, there is a twist to the story ad Pix has announced "Pix MOVIE CLUB" JUNE installment."TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON'' is a special initiative by the channel to encourage students to watch the best new Hollywood movies in town absolutely free at in Mumbai at PVR Juhu at 9.55 am.

This Friday members of the club can watch "TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON'. The movie is a story of how an event from Earth's past erupts into the present day, it threatens to incite a war so big that the Transformers alone will not be able to save the planet directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg starring Shia LaBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Tyrese Gibson.

To be a member of The Pix Movie Club students can register online with www.pixtelevision.com. On applying, a unique membership number will be sent to the applicants via email which needs to be shown at the multiplex.

Himmat Butalia, Marketing Head, Pix, tells Adgully, "We started off by charging the students Rs30 on a movie ticket for an early morning show, with this initiative the students can watch the movie absolutely free. Before we used to feature a movie in a month, now we will be putting up a list of the month's releases on our site where the club members can vote for their favorite movie. The top three popular choices will then be offered to our viewers in month."

He adds that The channel has also changed the promos to promote the Club so as to suit the new look and the feel of the channel. The current initiative has already got 500 to 600 confirmations. The channel intends to scale up the movie club by offering more movies in a month and by expanding the club's offer to more cities.

The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots are back in action and Decepticons are back in action become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends.
