Publicis Media wins Coty’s global media review

Publicis Media, led by Zenith, has won the Coty global media review. The win includes Coty’s full portfolio of divested P&G specialty beauty brands.  Furthermore, they have re-appointed Publicis Media as their agency in all of the current markets where the group handles the Coty business.

The business is estimated at well over $1 billion in billings globally.

The win spans 16 markets, including the US, Canada, the UK, Ireland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Italy, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia.

Publicis Media has been appointed as Coty’s lead media agency, responsible for strategy, trading, content and data and analytics on their behalf. The group will work closely with Beamly, Coty’s internal social and programmatic agency.

Publicis Media will hub the Coty business out of its London offices, with a Luxury Hub in Paris, a Consumer Beauty Hub in New York, and Trading led out of Germany in collaboration with PMX team UK.

Commenting on the win, Steve King, CEO, Publicis Media, said, “The win is a reflection of the power and promise of Publicis Media. It greatly expands the size of our remit with the client and is the largest global win for Publicis Media this year – a huge accomplishment. It builds on prior momentum this year, including wins across our network like eOne (Zenith & Starcom globally), Discover (Mediavest | Spark USA), Motorola (Performics & Mediavest | Spark USA), ASDA (Optimedia|Blue 449 UK) and Aviva (Zenith globally).”

He further said, “It shows that they value the exceptional work our Zenith teams have been doing on the Coty business and that the Starcom and Mediavest | Spark team has delivered on the divested P&G beauty brands. This business will be managed locally by Zenith or Starcom, depending on the market, together with our global Practices – our technology, trading, and content capabilities played an integral role in securing the assignment.”
