Our upcoming range for the season 2014 – 2015 will see successful integration of these functionalities across the product portfolio of Woodland.”

Loveraj had to face severe climatic conditions and managed pretty well in Woodland apparels. Speaking on the occasion, Loveraj Singh Dharamshaktu (country’s first Indian to climb Mt. Everest for the fourth time) said: “Summiting Mt. Everest is a life threatening task and I must thank Woodland for providing me the opportunity that helped me in accomplishing the target of summiting Mt. Everest smoothly. Initially the bad weather delayed the summit schedule and many mountaineers decided to return. Its unfortunate that few people even died during this year’s expedition due to bad weather conditions but it was the support of Woodland team and its products that gave me the ability to stay there in extreme conditions and fulfill my mission. I am thankful to Singh and his team for their faith in me and the support provided.”

Woodland joined hands with Loveraj in the beginning of this year to support his mission of climbing & cleaning Mt. Everest and spread the message of ProPlanet (a Woodland CSR initiative) under ‘ProPlanet Climbs Everest’ campaign. While supporting the campaign, Woodland also provided Loveraj with the ultra light and durable fiber outdoor gear and lightweight apparels being developed by Woodland for extreme outdoor adventure. The products helped Loveraj lighten the load by offering durable, ultra light shelters and backpacks that in turn increased his efficiency to the summit in spite of bad weather conditions, this year. For unbeatable protection against the wet weather, Woodland provided lightweight clothing and waterproof jackets and trousers that kept Loveraj protected from heavy rain and icy winds.

Woodland has always focused on adding functionalities to its products unlike the clutter already available in the market by various brands. Through this summit, Woodland examined and testified the efficiency of the products in-house that lately has even got authenticated through this expedition with its use by Loveraj. The brand could achieve this due to strong R&D Team spread across. Woodland is currently focusing on energies on R & D for this requirement with-in the country with all plans to make it International in times to come.
