BARC Wk 10 ratings: Star Plus at No.1; Tarak Mehta entices R+U viewers

BARC ratings for Week 10 (March 4-10) [HSM (U+R) : NCCS All : 4+ Individuals] saw Star Plus continue in its leadership position. After being the most watched show in Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban, ‘Naagin Season 2’ relinquished its top spot to Zee TV’s show, ‘Kumkum Bhagya’, this week. 

Star Plus continued to be placed in the numero uno position in Week 10, garnering a gross viewership of 756,101, a decline from 783,794 reorded last week. Two of its shows have made it to the top 5 most watched shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban this week. ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ was placed in the third spot with 10,400 Impressions (000s). ‘Saath Nibhaana Saathiya’ made a re-entry in the list, garnering 9,452 Impressions (000s). 

Colors remained firm in the second spot in Week 10, witnessing a gross viewership of 637027, a marginal increase from 634,917 recorded last week. ‘Naagin Season 2’ lost its hold on the top spot among Hindi GEC shows, slipping a notch to No. 2, garnering 11,503 Impressions (000s). 

Sony Pal, which had climbed up a notch to No. 3 last week, held on to this position in Week 10. The channel recorded a gross viewership of 568,043, a marginal increase from 563,212 recorded last week. The channel has been steadily gaining grounds in the last few weeks. 

Zee TV, which had climbed up a notch further to No. 4 in Week 9, remained in this position this week as well, witnessing a gross viewership of 518,107, a decline from 556,365 recorded last week. Its show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ slid past ‘Naagin 2’ to become the most watched show on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban, witnessing 11,912 Impressions (000s). 

Zee Anmol climbed up a notch to No. 5 in Week 10, garnering a gross viewership of 466,508, compared to 491,557 recorded last week. 

Rishtey, on the other hand, slid a notch to be placed at the sixth spot this week, recording a gross viewership of 446,592 as against 506,028 recorded in Week 9. 

Sony SAB saw gains this week, climbing up to the seventh spot from No. 9 last week. The channel garnered a gross viewership of 445258, an increase from 423,175 recorded in Week 9. Its popular and long-running sitcom, ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, made it to the list of top 5 shows on Hindi GECs in Rural+Urban for the first time since BARC came into being. Placed at No. 4, the show garnered 9,995 Impressions (000s). 

Star Utsav continued in the eighth spot in Week 10, recording a gross viewership of 433,658, a decline from 456,187 recorded last week. 

Sony Entertainment Television slid further this week to No. 9, witnessing a marginal decline in its gross viewership – from 431,506 in Week 9 to 431,431 this week. 

Life OK continued in the tenth spot in Week 10 as well, registering a gross viewership of 393,324, an increase from 387,790 recorded in last week.
