Prasar Bharati can now directly assign projects to production houses

The Prasar Bharti board in its 163rd meeting, approved ‘Policy Guidelines for Commissioning of Programmes under DAP (Direct Assignment Process)’. These guidelines allow the public broadcaster to directly assign projects of National, Strategic or Iconic Significance to well reputed creative directors, productions houses and producers in terms of creation of content.

This is in conformity to guidelines approved by the board in the Prasar Bharti Act, 1990. These guidelines apply across Prasar Bharti after the DAP lays out all processes.
