EMVIES'12: Cadbury tops the client's list; Best agency goes to Mindshare!

Inspite of the heavy rains on 3rd September 2012  the turnout at Emvies 2012 event at Taj Lands End was commendable. The inclement weather in no way could  dampen the spirit of the attendees. The enthusiasm was palpable and support from the industry  helped to liven up the event. 
 
The agencies were curious and excited to know about the results. There was no doubt about the EMVIES Media Agency of the Year. It was Mindshare again with four Golds, seven Silvers and six Bronze EMVIES with a spectacular total of 160 points.
 
The Grand Emvie award was bagged by Madison Media Infinity for its Saffola Life-Saving Private Heart campaign.
 
Also some of the new categories introduced this year at EMVIES were : Media Client of the Year, Best Ongoing Media Campaign and Young Emvie of the Year.
 
Cadbury India won the Client of the Year with a total of 135 points; Mindshare's Vineet Nair won the Young Emvie of the Year award for his case study on Axe & Denim and Madison Media-Pinnacle won a gold medal for the Cadbury Dairy Milk Shubharambh under the Best Ongoing Media Campaign category.
 
The people’s choice award for the best case study presented on 23rd August, 2012 was won by MEC Reliance Mobile - Ego Search under the best media innovation - digital (social media) category.
The people’s choice award for the best case study presented on 24th August, 2012 was given to  Mindshare for Pond’s - Life is Beautiful - 66 Human Lives - Beautiful all over again under best media innovation – print category.
The people’s choice award for the best case study presented on 25th August, 2012 was won by  Madison Media - Pinnacle Cadbury Dairy Milk - Shubharambh By Amitabh Bachchan under the best use of a bollywood celebrity in media, powered by Zoom category.
 
Mindshare won gold awards for its 'Fallen Angels' campaign for Axe Deodorant under the category: Best Media Innovation, 'VJ Jose Kidnapped' campaign for Axe Shower Gel under the Best Media Innovation - Digital Video category, 'If Mornings Had An Aroma, It Would Be Coffee' print campaign for Bru Gol under the Best Media Innovation - Print category and 'The Day You Were Born' campaign for HSBC under the Best Media Innovation - Direct Marketing category.
 
Mindshare won Silver awards for its Boost campaign under the Digital - Social Media and Digital - Video categories, Axe Shower Gel in the TV and Branded Content categories, Kissan under the Print and Events categories and Pond's for its Print innovation; 'Life is Beautiful - 66 Human Lives'.
Then last but not the least, Mindshare bagged bronze awards for the campaigns Kissan: 'It's Jamlicious' innovation in the Best Media Innovation - Events category and 'Kissanpur' campaign in the Best Media Strategy - Consumer Products category; the 'Seduction in a Bottle' campaign (Slice) in the Digital - Display category; the 'Bheem ki Team' campaign (Knorr Soupy Noodles) in the TV category, then for the movies Chillar Party under the 'Movie in a movie' innovation in the Cinema category (Surf Excel); and for the 'Fallen Angels' campaign in the Ambient Media category (Axe deodorant).
 
After Mindshare and Madison Media, Pinnacle grabbed the second place with six Golds, four Silvers and one Bronze EMVIE, with a total of 135 points whereas Maxus captured the third position with three Gold, two Silvers and four Bronze Emvies and 85 points.   
 
On the fourth position was Madison Media Infinity with 65 points and they bagged one Grand EMVIE for Saffola, two Golds, one Silver and one Bronze. Also Lodestar UM took the fifth position this year with a total of 60 points including two Gold and six Bronze EMVIES.
 
The other positions were bagged by the following agencies which created the top 10 Media Agencies at EMVIES this year : MEC with one Gold, one Silver, six Bronze and a total of 55 points, GroupM-Dialogue Factory with two Golds, one Silver, one Bronze making a total of 45 points, MediaCom with one Gold, one Silver, two Bronze making a total of 35 points. Then, Starcom MediaVest Group won one Gold, two Silvers giving a total of 35 points. Then lastly, DDB Mudra Max with 30 points (two Silvers, two Bronze).
