EMVIES'12: Case study presentation kick starts with hope and excitement

EMVIES 2012 is here and how! The Case study presentations began on the 23rd of August with supreme level of excitement and a dash of entertainment. 42 shortlisted case studies for day 1 were presented under the categories Best Media Strategy - consumer products, Best Media Research, Best Media Innovation - digital (social media), Best Media Innovation – TV, Best Media Innovation - out of home, Best Media Innovation – cinema and Best Media Innovation - digital (video).
 
Case studies like, 'Managing a successful sibling rivalry' and ‘Axe Shower Gel Launched - VJ Jose Kidnapped’ were cheered a lot because of the content and style of the presentation. Also MEC’s Reliance Mobile - Mera Vs Tera Network and Reliance 3G - Feeling is Believing was applauded and enjoyed by all because of the style of presentation.
 
Mindshare presented its case study titled 'Managing a successful sibling rivalry' in the Best Media Strategy- Consumer Products category. With a simple thought of creating a strategy that differentiates, Lays Baked from Lays without any negative impact, the agency took this route and launched it through a fashion show instead of a press conference. Television and digital campaigns especially designed for women to indulge in activities such as gossip, fashion and girl bonding. The campaign gathered a lot of eyeballs.
 
In the category; Best Media Research: Maxus with its New Definition of Facebook Likes, Starcom MediaVest Group with its Breaking New Ground, Breaking Inertia, Maxus with          Nokia Buzz Metrics and Mindshare with its HSBC Mpanel : A New Framework in the Science Of Media, presented their case studies.
 
Under the category Best Media Innovation – TV, Axe Shower Gel Launched - VJ Jose Kidnapped’ also garnered a lot of appreciation among the youth because of their story telling concept and content strategy, while Thumbs Up with its; ‘I can do anything for my Thumbs up’ tagline reported amazing numbers.
 
In the Best Media Innovation - out of home category; Lodestar UM with Project Axshay- India's First Coughing Outdoor, Mediacom Communications Pvt. Ltd. with their Think Blue-India Gate - 3D Mapping, Mindshare with its AXE Deodorant - Fallen Angels and DDB MudraMax with its Volkswagen Think Blue Beetle presented some impressive case studies.
 
Under the Best Media Innovation – Cinema category, Mindshare with its Surf Excel 'Movie in a movie: Chillar Party' case study, Starcom MediaVest Group with their Touch Cinema with Galaxy TAB, MEC with its Reliance 3G - Feeling is Believing and EMC with its SolutionsWorldwide Pvt. Ltd. Century Ply - Century Plyboards – Aarakshan presented their case studies that went on the large screen and spoke about their reach and content strategy.
 
The day ended with the category of Best Media Innovation - digital (video) under which, Maxus Vodafone India - Responsible Mobility, Mindshare’s Boost - The Story Of India's Fastest Viral Video, Pinnacle’s Cadbury Celebrations - Lonely Maa and again the most enjoyed campaign and presentation: Axe Shower Gel - Axe Shower Gel Launched - VJ Jose Kidnapped were presented.
